A Bit About Me

I’m Suzanne, an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working relationally at the heart of my practice.

My work is grounded in advanced training in psychotherapy, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to understanding people in depth — not just their symptoms, but the patterns and experiences underneath them.

I work online and in person from my private therapy suite at Bird-in-Eye Farm in Uckfield.

My Qualifications

My path into psychotherapy has been gradual and layered.

I hold a Level 6 Diploma in Counselling and am currently completing an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy.

Before this, I completed an MSc in Psychological Sciences and a BSc (Hons) in Biology — training that continues to shape how I think about people, patterns, and change.

My approach brings together psychological theory, relational practice, and an ongoing curiosity about what helps people shift at depth

My Modality

I primarily work with Transactional Analysis (TA), a relational approach that helps us understand patterns in how we think, feel, and relate to others.

My work is grounded in the belief that these patterns make sense in context — and that understanding them can open space for change.

Alongside TA, I integrate other psychotherapeutic approaches from my postgraduate training when it feels helpful, allowing us to work both reflectively and at depth.  Sessions are collaborative, relational, and responsive to what you need — not a fixed formula.

Our sessions will feel real. We’ll figure things out together, building on our therapeutic relationship to create trust, connection, and space for growth. You’ll be doing the work — and I’ll be providing the tools, perspective, and gentle challenge to help you get there.

My Clients

I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients both online and in person. Many are adults or young people navigating past trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, or depression.

My approach is compassionate, relational, and trauma-informed. My work is neurodiverse-affirming and LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and I offer GSRD-affirming therapy — warmly welcoming people of all genders, sexualities, and relationship styles.

I don’t sit above you as the ‘expert’. Instead, we work together in a way that feels real, equal, and deeply respectful.

Professional Practice

I am an Accredited Member of the NCPS and a UKATA Accredited Transactional Analysis Practitioner, working within ethical and professional standards.  I am fully insured and receive regular clinical supervision, alongside my own personal therapy.

I take ongoing professional development seriously — because good therapy depends on a therapist who continues to think, reflect, and grow.
